In some cases in order to activate Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 you will need to perform it using a key file, received from Kaspersky Lab Technical Support

In order to activate the application by a key file, perform the following actions:

1. Open the email received from Kaspersky Lab Technical Support.
2. Right-click the attached archive and select Save as from the open menu.
3. Select the folder to save the archive (for example, desktop).
4. Click on the Save button.
5. Unpack the archive to the desktop (for example, using WinZip). The file with the .KEY extension appears on the desktop.
6. Open the main application window of Kaspersky Internet Security.
7. In the bottom right hand corner of the window, click on the Insert your activation code here link.

8. In the Licensing window, click on the Activate the application button.

9. Select Activate commercial version.
10. Enter a special code received from Kaspersky Lab Technical Support.
11. Click the Next button.

12. In the Activation failed step, click on the Browse button.

13. In the open window, select the unpacked key file and click on the Open button.
14. In the Activation of Kaspersky Internet Security window, click on the Next button.
15. Once the application is activated, click on the Finish button.
